4x4 Holidays

4 x 4 Adventures in Andalucia

If you want to experience the freedom of exploring by Land Rover, in a diverse and beautiful landscape, with exciting and adventurous tracks and roads, then Active Andalus offers you this, and more.

A landscape of so many contrasts, from the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline, up to the high massif of the Sierra Nevada and the vast expanse of a dry and almost arid interior, where orchards of olives stretch far into the distance, the opportunity to explore is like almost no other in Europe.

We use the many agricultural tracks and mountain roads, with the occasional river bed, to get to some beautiful and remote areas, and to where few tourists ever venture.

Active Andalus offers different options for exploring. You can choose from a single day of exploring, right up to a full week of self-drive guided trails and tracks, or join is for a course on off-road instruction.

As with all of our holidays and activities, these are fully inclusive of accommodation and European cuisine.

About Us

About Us

Spain conjures the image of tourist beaches, high rise apartment blocks and throngs of holiday makers, but if you look in the right places you’ll discover quiet beaches, magnificent natural parks, stunning mountain ranges and a natural landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see. It’s a side of Spain that is often overlooked, but one that we are passionate about.

We started Active Andalus in 2014 to provide all-inclusive diving holidays, and we quickly began to see that for many of our clients it wasn’t just the diving that they loved, but the culture, history and natural beauty of Andalucía. We knew that this region gave them a feeling of freedom, of being alive.

As we are both naturally adventurous spirits, we ourselves sought out less frequented walks and scrambles, and explored remote and isolated tracks by Land Rover, and were overwhelmed by the beauty of this landscape, and the sense of freedom it gave. We wanted to share in these experiences, so we expanded what Active Andalus could offer, to include walking, scrambling/climbing and Land Rover courses and adventures.

We’ve remained a small professional family business, taking pride in the activities we offer and of our small team of guides and instructors that bring their experience and passion to each and every holiday.

Phil & SimoneWe specialise in individual or small groups of independent travellers, giving you a very personal experience, and in what we like to believe is a unique and genuine adventure.

Active Andalus offers the opportunity for you to enjoy a holiday that explores much of the beauty of Andalucía; on foot, by 4x4, at the end of a climbing rope or with the kick of a fin!
